Student Support Services
Welcome to the Sewanhaka Central High School District's Office of Student Support Services. It is an honor to serve in this role and to support the well-being, growth, and success of every student in our school community.
At the heart of our work is a commitment to the whole child, ensuring that each student thrives academically and feels safe, supported, and empowered to plan for a prosperous future. Our department leads college and career planning initiatives, social-emotional learning (SEL), equity and inclusion, and creating safe, welcoming school environments.
Our department oversees a wide range of services designed to meet the diverse needs of our student population, including special education, mental health and counseling support, Section 504 services, health and wellness initiatives, and partnerships that promote equity and access for every learner. When students feel supported and understood, they are empowered to achieve their fullest potential.
Every student deserves access to high-quality guidance and support, regardless of background or circumstance. Through collaboration with families, staff, and community partners, we work to break down barriers, elevate student voice, and ensure each learner has the tools, resources, and confidence they need to succeed—both in school and beyond.
Student support work is grounded in collaboration with families, staff, and the wider community. Together, we strive to foster safe, inclusive, and nurturing school environments where every student is seen, valued, and heard.
Please explore our programs and resources and reach out with any questions or ideas. Thank you for your partnership as we work to ensure that every student in Sewanhaka has the tools and support they need to thrive.
