A Panel Discussion
A panel of school staff personnel will discuss the following topics and provide valuable resources and strategies that address the importance of creating a successful school year for your children. Discussion will center around opportunities for students to thrive socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually. Topics will include:
Parenting through the elementary school to middle school transition
Understanding school wide resources and how to access support for students
Recognizing the evolving development of the teenage brain
Identifying signs of stress and anxiety and strategies to respond
Helping teens with time management and organization

Sewanhaka Central High School District Introduces the Seal of Biliteracy Opportunity
The Sewanhaka Central High School is delighted to announce that students will now have the opportunity to achieve the New York State Seal of Biliteracy (NYSSB). The NYSSB recognizes students who develop high levels of proficiency in English and one or more world languages.
Students have multiple pathways to achieve this recognition by their senior year. Students can demonstrate high levels of proficiency in world languages studied at school, or in a language that may be spoken at home.
