Elmont Memorial High School students Chigozirim Ifebi, Alicia Joseph, Gianna Marsh, Umar Ahmed, Kishen Rampersad, and Raheel Ahmed have qualified for Round 2 of the New York State Science and Engineering Fair, to be held at the New York Hall of Science on March 27. Over 300 students from across the state submitted video presentations of their research to be evaluated by scientific experts in their field. The top 25% of projects were invited to Round 2 to explain their work in person and compete for the opportunity to represent New York State at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair.
