This past weekend, the New Hyde Park Model United Nations Club, advised by Jonathan Novak, participated in a Harvard Model UN virtual conference, collaborating with students from schools around the world. The club was led by President Nyelle Sarreal and Vice President Sohom Chakraborty, and the entire team showed extraordinary skill, diplomacy and leadership. NHP was able to win eight individual awards, which recognized excellence in public speaking, resolution writing, negotiation and crisis leadership. Their hard work and preparation truly stood out. Thank you to all the students who participated and showcased that success is not accidental.
