H. Frank Carey High School is proud to announce that seventh grader Ryan Fayad won the school’s Scripps Spelling Bee, held on Dec. 17. After competing against 29 students from grades 7-8, Fayad earned the championship title by correctly spelling “junket.” He will go on to represent his school at the regional Scripps Spelling Bee in February.
