On Feb. 12, Elmont Memorial High School’s annual Black History Month Talent and Fashion Show brought the school community together to celebrate student talent and honor Black excellence in the arts and entertainment. The event was hosted by the Spartan Club, a booster club comprised of parent volunteers.
The evening opened with the Black National Anthem and featured an inspiring lineup of performances. Students took the stage with solo, duet and chorus vocals; energetic dance routines; band performances and confident fashion walks that highlighted their creativity and style. Each of the 19 performances drew loud cheers and applause from the crowd.
The Spartan Club is an organization dedicated to supporting academic and extracurricular programs at Elmont Memorial.
