Sewanhaka CTE was proud to play an active role in the recent NYSCREA Conference, hosted at the Long Island Marriott. NYSCREA is the New York State Career Readiness Educators Association, supporting career readiness and work-based learning efforts across NYS.
John Kosinski and District Director of CTE Dr. Patrick Dunphy presented a Spotlight on Sewanhaka CTE. Some of our Digital Animation and Game Design students not only used their skills to help document the event but were also part of a student panel discussion.
It was a great opportunity to showcase the work taking place across our district while also contributing to broaden conversations about preparing students for success beyond high school.
The students who participated were:
Aiden Henry — Elmont Memorial High School
Adam Ramsarup — Sewanhaka High School
Zachary Calica — Elmont Memorial High School
Kai Tjioe — New Hyde Park Memorial High School
Rashid Rashid — Floral Park Memorial High School
Jesse Fratello — H. Frank Carey High School
Layden Calder — Elmont Memorial High School
Jonas Carillo — Sewanhaka High School
