On Oct. 3, the Sewanhaka High School community came together for its annual homecoming celebration, enjoying an exciting day filled with school spirit, community pride and Ravens tradition.
This year's festivities began with a spirited homecoming procession around the track, featuring creative floats and banners inspired by the event's theme. The marching band, cheerleaders, Rockettes, homecoming court and student organizations were on hand to celebrate and highlight the strong school spirit that filled the day.
The excitement carried over to the football field as the Sewanhaka Ravens took on Division Avenue High School. Although the Ravens came up short on the scoreboard, they demonstrated determination and resilience throughout the game. During halftime, spectators enjoyed performances by the marching band, Twirlers and Rockettes. Homecoming royalty Joseph Vandezande and Sophia Gutierrez, who were crowned during pep rally, were also recognized.
The day served as a celebration of school pride and the strong sense of community that unites the Sewanhaka family.
